Congratulations to Miss Cristelle Tolentino! The newly-crowned Miss Manila 2016!
Candidate number two, Cristelle Tolentino, was crowned Miss Manila 2016, on June 24 at the PICC Plenary Hall. The 22-year-old beauty, who graduated Cum Laude from the University of Santo Tomas, bested 32 ladies from different parts of Manila. The day of the Grand Coronation was also the 445th Foundation Day of the city, making the event more special for all the candidates.
Cristelle impressed the crowd and the judges with her answer for the final Q&A portion, where she directly addressed Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada to give more attention to the city’s educational system. She explained that a good educational system would help more people as it would make them competent to face the opportunities that will come their way.
She finished her 30-second answer with an inspiring quote by President Franklin Roosevelt, “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.”
She also nailed the earlier Q&A portion with her answer, “I believe I am a woman with so much optimism, grace and confidence. I could continue living my life the way I am.”
She also bagged the Miss Photogenic and Best in Evening Gown special awards.
