UST tops nutrition licensure exams

27 July 2012, 10:31 p.m. - A THOMASIAN topped the recent nutritionist-dietitian licensure exams, in which UST was the second top-performing school.

Hannah Paulyn Co got a score of 87 percent, results from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) showed.

Other Thomasians on the Top 10 list were Patricia Alyanna Cardoza (85.05 percent) and Kevin Carpio (84.95 percent), who landed on the third and fourth places, respectively.

In 2011, only two Thomasians entered the Top 10 list, taking the sixth and ninth places.

Of the 99 Thomasians who took the recent exam, 93 passed, equivalent to a 93.94-percent passing rate.

Last year, UST was also named the second top performing school as it posted a 93.24-percent passing rate. To be named a top-performing school, the PRC requires a minimum passing rate of 80 percent with at least 50 examinees.

University of the Philippines-Los Baños remained the top–performing school, posting a perfect score. The Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sta. Mesa is still the third top-performing school.

The national passing rate, meanwhile, went up to 67.08 percent as 601 out of 896 examinees passed the test. Last year’s passing rate was 66.97 percent, with 507 of 757 examinees making the cut. Nikka Lavinia G. Valenzuela

02 Agosto 2013, 11:30 p.m. - NANATILI bilang pangalawang top-performing school ang Unibersidad sa nakalipas na Nutritionist-Dietitian licensure examinations matapos bahagyang umangat ang marka nito sa 95.12-porsiyentong passing rate.

Ayon sa datos ng Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 78 sa 82 na mga Tomasino ang pumasa sa nakalipas na pagsusulit–bahagyang mas mataas sa 93.9-porsiyentong passing rate noong nakaraang taon o 93 na mga Tomasinong pumasa mula sa 99.

Nanatili namang top-performing school ang University of the Philippines-Los Baños ngayong taon na nagkamit ng 100-porsiyentong passing rate tulad noong nakaraang taon.

Nakamit ng Tomasinong si Jonathan Chua ang ikapitong pwesto sa Top 10 matapos magtala ng 85.35 porsiyento. Noong nakaraang taon, tatlong Tomasino ang napabilang sa Top 10, kung saan isang Tomasino rin ang nagkamit ng unang pwesto.

5 Agosto 2014, 6:52 p.m. - PUMANGALAWA muli ang UST sa listahan ng top-performingschools sa nakalipas na Nutritionist-Dietitian licensure examinations noong Hulyo, ngunit bahagyang bumaba ang marka nito.

Ayon sa datos mula sa Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), nagtala ang Unibersidad ng 90.53-percentpassing rate, kung saan 86 na Tomasino mula sa 95 na kumuha ng pagsusulit ang pumasa.

Bahagyang mas mababa ito sa 95.12 percent o 78 na pumasa mula sa 82 kumuha noong nakaraang taon.

Walang Tomasino ang nakapasok sa listahan ng sampung nanguna sa pagsusulit.

Nanatili pa ring top-performing school ang University of the Philippines-Los Baños na nagtala ng 100-percent passing rate matapos pumasa lahat ng 72 estudyante nito.

Kailangan ng 80 percent o mas mataas at 50 o mahigit na estudyanteng kumuha ng pagsusulit upang ma-ideklarang top performing school ng PRC.

Bahagyang bumaba ang nationalpassing rate sa 63.59 percent o 634 na pumasa mula sa 997 na kumuha ng pagsusulit, kumpara sa 64.36 percent noong nakaraang taon. Roberto A. Vergara, Jr.

25 Agosto 2015, 10:41p.m. - MULING pumangalawa ang Unibersidad sa katatapos na Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Examinations.

Batay sa resultang inilabas ng Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), nagtala ng 98.77 bahagdan na passing rate ang UST kung saan 80 sa 81 na kumuha ng pagsusulit ang pumasa. Ito ay higit na mas mataas sa 90.53-porsyentong passing rate ng Unibersidad noong nakaraang taon o katumbas ng 86 na mga Tomasinong pumasa mula sa 95 na kumuha ng pagsusulit.

Nasa ikapitong puwesto sa listahan ng 10 na nakakuha ng pinakamatataas na marka ang Tomasinong si Chelsea Rae Mercadillo, na nagtamo ng 83.15-porsiyentong passing rate.

Samantala, muling naging top-performingschool ang University of the Philippines-Los Baños matapos magtala ng 100-porsyentong passing rate.

Upang mapabilang sa listahan ng top-performing schools, kinakailangang makapagtala ang isang paaralan ng hindi bababa sa 80-porsyentong passing rate, at mayroong 50 o higit pang bilang ng mga kumuha ng pagsusulit.

Bahagyang tumaas ang nationalpassing rate para sa taong ito. Naitala ito sa 64.74 porsyento, katumbas ng 705 na pumasa mula sa 1,089 na sumailalim sa pagsusulit, kumpara sa 63.59 porsyento noong nakaraang taon o 634 na pumasa mula sa 997 na kumuha ng pagsusulit. K. V. Baylon

UST posts 100-percent passing rate in March 2017 nutritionist-dietitian exams

THE UNIVERSITY emerged as one of the top-performing schools in the March 2017 nutritionist-dietitian licensure examination, while a Thomasian was named topnotcher.

The University posted a 100-percent passing rate with all its 88 examinees passing the test, results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed.

UST shared the top spot with the University of the Philippines-Los Baños.

Leading the new batch of nutritionist-dietitians was Thomasian Pauline Catrina Vizcarra, who had a score of 87.95 percent.

Other Thomasians in the top 10 included Cherubim Cauzon Barranda who clinched the second spot with a score of 87.85 percent, and Anavrin Faye Mejia who landed on eighth place with a score of 86.75.

Kimberly Guarte Lucas shared the 10th spot with Daniellie Felice Lopez of UP-Los Banos, after registering a score of 86.55 percent.

This year’s national passing rate was 72.11 percent or 755 passers out of 1,047 examinees.

UST is 2nd top-performing school in nutritionist-dietitian board exams

The University was the second top-performing school in the August 2017 nutritionist-dietitian board exams, with three Thomasians landing in the top 10.

UST posted a slightly lower passing rate of 97.65-percent, or 83 out of 85 examinees.

Thomasian Camille Ang placed fourth with a score of 89.90 percent, while Danca Francisco and Elisa Mae Garcia secured the fifth and eighth spots with scores of 89.75 percent and 89.05 percent, respectively.

Abigail Catacutan of Polytechnic University of the Philippines‒Sta.Mesa topped the board exams with a score of 91 percent.

State-run University of the Philippines‒Los Banos and University of the Philippines‒Diliman were named top-performing schools.

The national passing rate stood at 71.62 percent, or 916 out of 1,279 examinees.
